Why is my WhatsApp status showing a different user on iPhone?

I won’t deny that this issue lies with the WhatsApp application and not Apple. However, if you truly value your customers, you should be pushing WhatsApp to address and resolve it. This problem exists only on iOS, which makes it your responsibility to ensure your platform supports reliable third-party functionality.

That is all you can do and it will require another update from Meta to resolve the bugs in their app. Apple cannot do that for them. WhatsApp has had 10 updates in just the last month, so it is clear that Meta is not testing them very well before they are released to their users.

You seem to have it backwards, it is the developers responsibility to make sure their apps work with iOS. The only customers that should be concerned are WhatsApp customers and it is their choice what they want to do about it. There are many other messaging apps to choose from if you wish.

Meta has had a long track record of not only poor customer service, but also by sending out buggy software to their users. All you need to do is check the update history of WhatsApp to wonder why they submit 10 updates in just the last month for bug fixes. It is obvious, they are using their users to test their software and little is being done in-house to make sure they are bug free. Apple cannot solve that problem, only Meta can do that.

Contact WhatsApp for issues with their services, website or application.

The issue is they mostly use chatbots and their technical team hardly reach out

I agree that Meta has terrible support and not really interested in hearing what their customers have to say, but they are the only ones that can resolve any problem. Ever since Meta bought WhatsApp, support with that app has gone in the same direction as their others. How you respond to this lack of support is up to you.

You haven't spent much time on the Android Support site. The problems with WhatsApp functionality on Android phones is reported heavily over there as well. It is not Google's responsibility to ensure that WhatsApp works on their platform either. The reason why users are forced to report problems with WhatsApple on both the Apple and Android Support forums is because Meta does not provide any support forum of their own where users can discuss issues with the app. You can't even call Meta for any support.

WhatsApp used to be a reliable app where they provided good customer support until it was sold to Meta in 2014, and ever since then the support has become non existent and the quality of the app has gone downhill. There is only one company to blame for that.
