iMessage not syncing in icloud

I switched from an iPhone 13 Pro to an iPhone 16 Pro. While switching over, my phone that it couldn’t continue merging stating “storage was full” bc there of iMessage.

So Apple told me to sync my ICloud iMessages. And now the syncing keeps pausing and my current text messages coming in are disappearing and I am receiving them out of order. This is a mess and VERY FRUSTRATING.

I turned off “low power mode”; my phone is on the charger, I turned off background refresh and it is STILL PAUSING SYNC!

2024 and still, messages in iCloud aren't syncing to all devices?? I am just so fed up with constantly trying to figure out why devices quit syncing whether it is messages or photos or whatever. Now it is iMessage, I see the messages on my iPhone 14MaxPro, current IOS and they do not sync to my MacBook Pro, current OS. In settings I press sync, I sign out of iCloud I sign back in, I press sync again, I reboot all systems.... NOTHING works, over and over and over again. I am so tired of searching this forum and finding the same answers for the same issues and none of it works. Over and over and over. I am probably in violation of the rules at this point. Oh well, that won't fix it either.

iCloud isnt backing my iMessage conversations after iOS 17 update Hello, I have been having issues with iCloud not backing up my iMessage conversations. I currently pay for the 2tb plan and I seem to be running out of space as iMessage takes up to nearly 18gb's of space on my phone. After checking top conversations the biggest conversation was nearly 3gb's in a group chat that had been in active for about a year. I deleted it to make space but iMessage somehow cleared that 3gb's of space within an hour. I tried to force a sync to iCloud for iMessage but there are no articles telling me how to do so. I even tried connecting my phone to my computer to force a sync on iTunes but no luck as it only did a sync but cleared no space. This only started to be a real issue ever since I updated to iOS 17 as iMessage would never go above 8 gb's of storage Btw the phone is an Iphone 12 on iOS 17 with 64gb's of storage the post tagged the wrong phone.

iMessages not syncing properly (deleting) between iPhone, Mac and iPad Iphone - IOS 16.1 Mac - Ventura Ipad - IOS 16 All three have been signed in using the same Apple ID, have iMessages turned on, etc etc Any new message gets forwarded to all three devices Any 'read' message too gets properly marked as read across three devices Problem only with deleted messages Message deleted on the Mac or iPad gets synced (deleted) between the two devices. The message will not get deleted on the iPhone Similarly, any message deleted on iPhone does not get deleted on the Mac and iPad Issue surfaced when I moved the iPhone to IOS 16 beta. Was perfect till I was on IOS 15; thought this will sort when the new releases are made..but looks like no luck for me Have tried all solutions suggested across previous posts A single instance of a proper sync is when I turn off and then turn on iCloud sync on the iPhone. After a few hours, the bad behaviour of not syncing properly resurfaces.
