How do I remove the green tick on iCloud backup thumbnail Photos?

Using icloud back up....places Large green tick on thumbnail photos.....Please tell me how to remove the tick

I’m coming up on my limit of iCloud storage, and one of the things taking up space is the “Imports” “Recently deleted” and “Hidden” albums. How to un-sync Google Photos from Apple Photos on an iPad version 7 I accidentally started a Backup in Google Photos which then took all my Apple Photos into Google photos and the Cloud until the 15 GB storage was used. In Google Photos app the Backup is off and Apple Photos menu to sync favorites is greyed out (assumed off) but delete a single photo in Google Photos and the same photo is deleted in Apple Photos. Also a new photo in Apple Photos still gets added to Google Photos. How can I un-sync Google Photos? Thanks neville170
