How do I customize exported frame names in Final Cut Pro X?

FCPX assigns the project name to the exported still frame. Any way I can change this so that each clip has a unique name? Otherwise, I have to stop and rename every exported frame.

Hi(bonjour),

In Final Cut Pro export dialog, you can rename your exported files at each export. Just select the name in dialog. You can even use the paste command to paste your preferred name like « image ». Only add a number to this pasted name to suit your needs. The down arrow key move your cursor to the end of the name.

Also, there is a rename files feature in finder file menu.

In finder, select all your exported frame and use the menu and his options like sequential to rename all files automatically.

I am not sure of what you exactly want to do, but in case you'd like to split a clip into succesive frames, "Export Image Sequence" does that automatically in the style frame-0, frame-1, etc.

In case you need to export random frames then I am afraid you have to do it manually.

Maybe the OS Automater.app would help?

Does that help?
