Why is my money sent by ASOS to Russian bank is stuck using Apple Pay?

My money was sent by ASOS store to my Russian bank card on September 12, 2022. The intermediary of the transfer was Apple Pay. There's a transfer ID. I have a screenshot of the correspondence with ASOS support. I didn't get the money. The Russian bank didn't get the money. ASOS sent the money.

Help me get my money.

Apple Pay is not an intermediary in the transfer of funds. Apple Pay only transmits encrypted data, not the actual funds. When the merchant (ASOS) initiates a refund/transfer of funds, funds move over the payment network to the bank. Apple is not involved in transfer of funds, only data about the initial transaction is supplied to the merchant if requested. Use the transaction/transfer ID to trace the funds.

Thanks so much for the reply! If Apple Pay doesn't work, where can the money be? Apple Pay left Russia on March 2, 2022. And the ASOS store payment was sent on September 12, 2022

Could the Russian bank have technically received the money?

And where could it be, since the Russian bank says it did not receive the money?

Funds are transferred from the merchant’s bank account to your bank account (credit card bank). You’ll need to contact the merchant and ask them to track the refund. The merchant may tell that after 3 years they can’t. That’s an issue between you and the merchant. This is not an issue that involves Apple or Apple Pay.
