How do I disable screenshots on my iPhone 15 Pro?

I would like help with disabling screenshots. I take then accidentally often. I am inadvertently taking them when I try to snooze alarms, put my phone in a holster, take it off the car mount, pulling it in and out of my pocket, or even when I try to push the side button to put the phone to sleep. I am very frustrated, always finding and staying on top of deleting screenshots. I never take a screenshot on purpose, personally.


I would prefer to disable screenshots. The benefits are not greater than the annoyance. I cannot find where in the settings to turn it off.


iPhone 15 pro. I bet it's obvious. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I ran into the same issue with my iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 18.5. Looks like it doesn’t let you configure that. I've fixed it by using the Apple Configurator. I've created a profile named “NoScreenshot.mobileconfig” to totally turn off screen recording, because I don’t need it anyway. This is only a solution if you have a Mac, though.

Unfortunately there currently is no setting to disable screenshots on iPhone. Below is a feedback link which you can fill out to let Apple know of this setting you want, and if they receive enough submissions of the same topic, they may implement it in a future update. One idea to try in the meantime, go to Settings > Display and Brightness > Scroll down and turn off Raise to Wake. This will make it so your iPhone whenever picked up or raised will not turn on, and this way it can't take accidental screenshots when off.
