Xfinity service tech said that I needed an HDMI to USB-C to see on the Mac Display. I got the cable and still see nothing onscreen! Please help!

Thanks so much! I thought I was doing something wrong...but guess box is not compatible to display.
Not surprised that the Xfinity tech was wrong.
I'll just use the Xfinity app to stream the TV content onto the Mac Display.
Will not work. The Mac Studio display is designed to use a TB input which your cable box does not have.
On top of that, most USB-C to HDMI adapters are uni-directional: they take USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode) input from a computer, and convert it to HDMI for a monitor or TV.
The "tech" not only told you to feed the wrong kind of input to the Studio Display, but told you to use the USB-C adapter in the wrong direction!
So frustrating!
Yes, technology in general is frustrating as heck especially when trying to make various manufacturer’s gear work together. It’s almost a dark art.
