Apple Music Created Many Empty Playlists Following macOS 15.5 Update

I just noticed that have what appears to be hundreds of empty playlists that seem to have been created after updating to macOS 15.5.

It appears, though I have not confirmed, that all original playlists are still present. The new playlists have nonsensical titles and are empty.

Anyone else experienced this problem? Okay to delete the empty playlists? How do I delete many playlists at once?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.5

Do we know why these blank playlists get created?

Sadly not. Music has taken over from iTunes as the logic puzzle that keeps on giving.
