Is there a way to control zoom speed in Apple Maps on MacBook Pro?

Is it possible to disable, or at least control the speed of zoom in and out, in MAPS on mac running Ventura 13.7? Clicking from one location to another MAPS zooms in at a dizzying speed. This uneccesary animation renders the app annoying. Great if you love rollercoasters, otherwise its not. Do newer OS have this feature in MAP? Thanks for your help.
