Why is my Keychron K5 keyboard not recognized on macOS Sequoia?

I'm having real trouble lately with my keyboard and MacOS. MacOS no longer recognizes my keyboard correctly and some buttons result a wrong input. I use Finnish input source, but the Finnish input source is just wrong when I can see the layout in the system setting input sources.

Suddenly § and < switched positions. Backslash is only found at shift+option+7 when it should be option+?.

Is there a way to fix this?

There is only single layout for each language that Apple supports and not possible to find or replace fixed layouts other than getting third party software like you suggested?

Apple often provides multiple layouts for languages -- there are 3 for Finnish:

Unfortunately they all have \ on option shift 7 instead of where you want it.

There are 7 layouts for French, including one for Windows users.

It's really simple to use Ukulele to create custom layouts for the Mac, I made dozens of them myself for people who need something different, and there are lots of ready made ones that you can just download and install.

Unfortunately I have not seen one for Finnish PC yet. If you detail the changes you need, I could make one up in very little time and post it.

Multiple keys do not match.

Could you provide specifics about those non-corner keys that produce something other than what the Finnish-Swedish layout picture below shows them producing? Do you have the Finnish icon showing in the top right of the screen as shown here?

It's not just the left corner keys. Multiple keys do not match. When I look in the system settings and select input source into Finnish I can see the layout is wrong and does not match. It shows <> next to number 1 on keyboard which is wrong and there are many other special characters on wrong positions.

I'll try to follow your link to fix the issues. I think the issues started on some of the Sequoia updates. I hate how much broken updates are published and fixing them requires downloading random third party software.

That sounds like you are used to the Windows Finnish layout. Apple's layout is different. To put \ on option ? and make other changes like that, you can create a custom layout with Ukelele.

It's possible someone has already done this, but I have not seen one on the web.

Yes it's Finnish.

Another problem I found was for some reason I have ALT and CMD in the same order as in your picture, but when I press them MacOS recognices them swapped.

Left option -> MacOS thinks I press Left cmd

Left CMD -> MacOS thinks I press Left option

It seems like every other time I use this things get wonky. Now suddenly the § and < got fixed, but alt and cmd got swapped.

Oh so this is by design?

I'm 100% sure I was able to do option+? for backslash few Sequoia versions back, but it's been a wild ride with the updates and they have been especially harsh on my typing. I haven't experienced any other issues with them luckily.
