Need assistance with making DHCP option 121 for injecting routes in the local routing table work on a Mac OS

We are trying to inject a route through DHCP option 121 that works on a Windows system however not while on the Mac OS. Further, it has been confirmed through captures that the DHCP option 121 is passed by the server however is not accepted by the Mac system. Has anyone done this before and knows what could be the cause here.
