If by "added by" you mean "Shared by" and by "iCloud Disk" you mean "iCloud Drive", then you can right click (command+ click or two finger click) on the column titles, and uncheck any columns you don't want to see.

If you mean something else, then please clarify.

thank you Phil, that is what I mean.

I'm always using column view, because of the context. The width of the columns makes this "shared by" very annoying, I can hardly read the filenames. I can't turn this off and it makes me want to switch to another program than Finder.

How do I turn this "shared by" off?

If you change the window in List View, then in View>Show View Options (⌘J) "Shared By" can be unchecked. This seems to work for Column View when you switch back, even though it's not available in the Options menu there. Odd.

Does this do what you want?

For items being shared, it's not possible to remove that. It identifies who shared it or added it to the shared folder.

If you are not sharing with anyone, then right click on a file or folder, and then on Manage Shared File or Folder, and then on Stop sharing, to stop sharing it.

This will remove the added names of who added or shared it.

This works in the list view exactly the way I would like!

However, when I switch back to column view, it's back
