How can I sync Apple Music across Apple devices seamlessly?
Hi,
I wonder if anyone might be able to explain how/what criteria the Music app uses when syncing across devices please.
I have downloaded my CD collection (approximately 300) on to my Mac (unsupported version of Sequoia 15.3.2) and for the most part it has recognised the Album and the Artist however, in a few instances it gives a different entry i.e. the triple Album Bruce Springsteen Live 1975-1985, it list the first cd as Bruce Springsteen but the second and third cd as Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band. why? when it's the same album and presumably the same embedded info.
Additionally, I have synced all the music across to my iPad by using the facility found under the Finder Application. here the problem is slightly different i.e. on the Mac, The Album The Best of Elvis Costello only shows one entry and lists the whole album. On the iPad it lists Elvis Costello 20 times and each entry on contains 1 or 2 songs.
I am able to edit the Album Details on the Mac (but not the iPad) but can anyone tell/suggest how I can get both the Music app on the Mac and the Music app on the iPad showing the same information please.
I do not want to pay for a Music subscription as I want to own my music not 'rent' it from an app.
Any help/advice, as always would be gratefully appreciated.
Cheers
Rob
