Unable to verify update (ios 18.4.1) and apple pay not allowing me to add card

You need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.

so i called Apple support and apparently i have two broken pieces that make the nfc and the magnetsafe unusable, i imagine this isnt your case, but i would try to call them anyway. Also i just downloaded the 18.4.1 with iTunes and now the iOS18.5 won’t update normally and i guess I’ll have to do it with iTunes anyway. I know I’m not very helpful but since we had the same problem i thought telling you what I did could be useful.

Do you currently have any credit or debit cards in your Wallet app?

I had the same problem, i solved the update one (hoping that updating would've fix applepay too but it didn't) by doing all the process trough Itunes. About Applepay i'm searching a solution too.

It’s a bank or PNO issue. But just in case, Apple released iOS 18.5 just over an hour ago. See if it resolves the issue.
