Can I prevent fraudulent subscription charges by changing payment method in ApplePay?

I attempted to purchase an app from a Facebook ad. I used Apple Pay to pay the $6.99 fee. It took me to a free app in the Apple Store and they emailed a receipt. A few days later my credit card alerted me to a $29 charge from the same website. They declined the sale and suspended my card. I called my bank and told them I authorized the $6.99 charge, but not the $29 charge. They told me it was probably a subscription and suggested I contact the seller. I emailed the seller after searching through their website, and there is no way to cancel a subscription. I emailed them, but they gave me a form letter response that they are really busy, blah blah blah. The next day, the website charged my card again and it went through.

I called the bank back and they said since it was through Apple Pay, I could just remove the card as a payment method. So my question is, if I add a new card, will they still be able to charge me? I like using Apple Pay, but I don't want to let these scammers get any more money.
