How to resolve playlist migration issues from MacBook Pro to iPhone?

When iTunes ended, I copied all my music into folders and loaded them into Apple Music that way. Now when I make a playlist choosing via artists on my MbPro 14, the original artists from iTunes are the ones available. Then after making the playlists, there isn't even the named playlist, let alone any of the songs, there on my iPhone.

Most should be available from Apple Music; why aren't the chosen songs automatically indexed and played on my iPhone? If I add a recent addition from my Apple Music that's not from iTunes, the playlist still doesn't show on my phone. Any ideas how to rectify this, folks?
