Folder Alias showing different content in browsers than in Finder

As you can see in the screenshots, the folder Alias shows incorrect content when I’m in Chrome or Safari‘s “file selector” window. The 6 correct folders are shown in the Finder screenshot.

Anyone experienced this before? I’m sure it has to do with the fact that it’s an Alias, perhaps even that it’s Google Drive files mirrored on my desktop.

But I wanted to post here to see if anyone has run into this before and been able to resolve it.

The files listed in your second screenshot - apparently from the file selector window - may be located in a cloud folder. One indicator of that is the little cloud icon next to the folder name.

To know exactly what the path is to the folder displayed, you can click the disclosure arrow in the selector window tool bar (circled). Use that to confirm that you are looking at the folder location you expect you are.
