Incoming text “3685 Notification…” about an Apple Pay charge

I just received a text from an (813) area code that reads:

3685 Notification : A charges of 1314.49 was made using your ID at Apple Store Through Apple Pay. Contact 1(***) ***-****now if you didn't authorize it.

Should I assume this as a scam/phishing attempt?
