Unable to add my Southwest boarding pass to Apple Wallet

I have tried adding passes of other apps with no issues. I am up to date on iOS. I have reloaded the Southwest app. Spouse has same phone and software had no problems, so it must be a configuration data issue. Can anyone provide anything else to try?

VPN is only active on non-home, so it was not a factor as I was trying to add the pass to my wallet at home.


It never occurred to me that Safari could do what the Southwest app could not, but, if it does that is not a fix for the Southwest app, it is a workaround… already one leg into my trip, and web site isn’t showing the boarding passes

VPN doesn’t need to be active to interfere with Apple Wallet, many bank and airline apps, ticket sellers etc.


Many VPNs need to be removed including deleting app and any profiles installed at the following location,


iPhone > Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > VPN > delete profiles


Following deletion please reset your network settings,


iPhone > Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings > follow onscreen instructions


Now try adding your pass.
