I'm using Logic Patrol to control two external MIDI synthesizers. One is General MIDI for which the instrument names are displayed correctly. The other is a Korg X-50 which allows instruments to be set up in any order and be re-named.
How do I rename the programs for the X-50? I know it's possible because I did it for the Yamaha, just can't remember how or find it in the documentation.

To show the MIDI Environment menu item, you have to hold down Option before clicking on the Windows menu:

Open the Environment > Layer: MIDI-Instr and double click on the appropriate Instrument. This will open a list that can changed manually
Yeap, only Apple knows why it's not possible anymore to open the Environment from the Windows menu.
