There are a several ways to do this:

• Open Finder > Settings... > Sidebar and make sure the box for "External disks" is check marked. (preferred method)

• Open a Finder window and drag the desktop icon of the external volume onto the Favorites section of the sidebar.

• Open a Finder window, navigate to any location where the icon for the external volume is visible and drag that icon onto the Favorites section of the sidebar.

Thank you! First for few relaunches it did not work at the same methods did not work the last days.

Today I tried another Volume to include into the sidebar, it was possible.

Then I includes the volume in question - ok.

Then I tried folders on the volume like before the troubles - all ok.

What was the reason before? I do not know.

Thank you, have a nice day!
