How to make Siri answer questions directly on HomePod instead of redirecting to iPhone?

Theres anyway to make questions made to my HomePod to be answered by Siri instead redirected to my iPhone? After all, if I wanted an answer on my iPhone I would as directly on that device instead the HomePod. Usually I end using Alexa or Google devices, but would prefer to have Siri as the main assistant in my house.
