How to remove macintosh HD from home screen

I am using a 13" MacBook Pro 2020 and OS Sonoma 14.7.5. After an update I now have the icon macintosh HD on my home screen. I also have macintosh HD on Finder. I want to remove the macintosh HD from the home screen. I plan to update to sequoia soon.

Sorry Old Toad, Hard Disks doesn't show under "Settings". Have searched in Setting but no response to "Hard Disks". Have gone through all parts of Settings without results. Only reference it so Time Machine and what is used. I use an external storage device for Time Machine.

Thanks for the followup. I guess I didn't see the forest for all the trees. Yes, I was looking at the wrong settings. With your correction it worked perfectly. Thanks a load. I've used a Mac since 2011 and used Microsoft for over 30 years but sometimes just look in the wrong places.

If it's any consolation, it's a pretty common mistake.
