Why do I get a message saying Apple Card Your Account Needs Attention

Is the card setup to be your payment method (default payment) in your Apple Account? Please follow this path,
iPhone > Settings > Apple Account (your name at top of screen) > Payment & Shipping > do you see any text in red?
