How can I update my child's birthdate to remove them from Family Sharing?

Hi,

I created an Apple ID for my child using Family Sharing, and I set the birthdate under age 14.

Now I want to remove her from the family group, but the system says she can’t leave until she turns 14.

I also can’t change her birthdate myself.

Can you please help me update her birthdate so I can remove her from Family Sharing?

Thank you!

In the USA it is 13 not 14, but if you are labeled as Parent/guardian or organizer then you can change the birth date

It's not possible for the end user to change the birthdate of a child:

To change a birth date of any child account set to an age below 13*, you might have to wait for the account to naturally age up. If you see “your birth date cannot be changed to this date”, you can’t change to a birth date that would no longer be a child account.*

Update the birth date associated with your Apple Account - Apple Support

The age varies by country.

Rumor has it that Apple Support can change it but I have no personl experience with this.
