How do I remove the persistent red microphone on Mac using Logi Options+?

Hello!

I had the persistent red microphone on my Mac that impossible to remove. When I looked it up, I realized I wasn't alone! I believe I have found the solution, and it has to do with Logi Options+.

Here is the microphone that will be shown in the top right:

Follow these three simple steps to gain your full screen back!

1. Open Logi Options+
2. Click on Settings.
3. Open scroll down to notifications and turn off the shown setting below. Then, watch the red microphone disappear - forever!
