IOS 18.4.1 - Location Bug - Constantly Asking for LOCATION PERMISSION for Weather, Maps, Messages, Calendar, Contacts

I'm on an IP15PM w/IOS 18.4.1 (latest as of this posting) ... starting w/IOS 18.3.2, I've noticed constant prompting for LOCATION permission on IOS delivered applications (calendar, messages, maps, weather, etc.)

1). Anyone else experiencing this?

2). Any fixes/work arounds?

This is a standard permission prompt from the iPhone's Weather app (or any weather-related app). You’ve got three typical options:

  • Allow While Using the App – Only gives access to your location when the app is open.
  • Allow Once – Temporary access, useful if you’re just checking weather for one time.
  • Don’t Allow – No access, which means you’ll have to manually enter locations.

If you want your phone to automatically show the weather where you are — like when you’re traveling or just curious if you need an umbrella — go with “Allow While Using the App.”
