How do I disable automatic indentation in Pages on iPad Pro?

I copied text from another source, which I use all the time, in writing a paper. The formatting from the other source must have an indent somehow and Pages adopts that indent thereafter when I hit return. Is there a way to turn that off?

With your document open, you can tap the paintbrush icon and on its menu is Indents >. Check those settings with or without the indented content selected. See this also: Set paragraph margins in Pages on iPad - Apple Support

It may also be that a style is being imposed with that other source text. If that is the case, you will need to address that indent on a case-by-case basis, as other than the first sentence above, I see no means to disable automatic indentation if it is arriving as part of pasted content.

Tested: Pages v14.4, iPadOS 18.2.1, M4 iPad Pro.
