Can't drag and drop files downloaded directly from Safari

Hi, just found yet another Safari feature not working since upgrading to Sequoia: downloaded files cannot be drag-and-dropped from Safari directly. You have to open the Downloads folder now, very annoying to lose a shortcut. Plus, as I said elsewhere, Safari under Sequoia has issues with Google Meet (the mic does not work well) and with Zoom, it does not let me log in to Netflix (no, my password is not wrong and yes, I tried deleting caches and all), and cannot load some pages. Why is Apple leading us to Chrome ?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.4

once complete shut down and restart the Mac more than once to resolve any issues seems to work on most.
