Child account unable to use iCloud family shared storage

Hi all,

I’ve seen several similar topics on this but no solution so far.

My kid has an iPad with a child account (less than 13years old). She shows up in my family but for some reason she can’t use the shared iCloud+ storage. Next to her name in the storage used it says “Not using”.

She shows just fine in my family section just like my wife and I don’t see any option to enable/disable sharing storage or any other functionality.

I tried adding her again to the family but it says she’s already part of this family.

There are parental controls in her iPad for basic things but I can’t see any option either that links to this
