Apple would take it in for recycling, but without credit. So, your best bet is to perform as trade on site like craigslist. Take out the hard drive, before performing the sale.

IMHO it is worth nothing. Recycle it.

Do a quick search on eBay to get an idea of the asking and sold prices for similar computers.

Then deduct the expense and trouble for shipping. The result will be pennies.

I agree with the previous posts; remove the drive and then just recycle the remains.

If the logic board is fried and not worth repairing, nobody is going to want that "repair part."

That leaves what – the screen? – if you are certain that it is in working order and that you wouldn't just be pawning off a fried screen on somebody else.
