AirPlay not working on my iPhone 13 and iPad after latest iOS 18.4.1 update

After updating to the most recent Os version for 18.4.1 for both my iPad and iPhone neither device seems to work with airplay. Including the inability to airplay to my Apple TVs (also updated to current versions.) I also found that phone calls no longer will appear on any other devices except my watch and AirPods.

Now there is new bug: when you listen something on HomePod and start Apple Music app on Mac and then switches Apple Music App to use HomePod it does not show that the HomePod is already playing something.

However, works on iPhone.

Apple, do you have any testing department? I can recommend few guys who are very good in software testing. I believe you need them, because it is absolutely unacceptable to release untested products in 21 century, year 2025.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

No I definitely agree that there are several times where it is an outside issue to the os or just straight up user error. But I have contacted apple support and they have walked me through multiple steps to try and address it. None of them worked and it gets stuck in a loading screen on things like the remote app on my devices. I normally don’t even bother really with bugs in the software cause they are usually minor enough that it’s not a big deal. But this significantly affects my work flow and the way I use my devices. And as everyone likes to point out. The walled garden is one of the big selling points for the Apple ecosystem.
