You want to Boot macOS Safe Mode:
Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
Not Single User Mode.

What is your bigger issue here that you are booting into Single User Mode? Many of the system log entries are not easily understood.

FYI you are not describing Single User Mode.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
HIDEventService is macOS service that reports various low level system status. It may for example report that a key has been pressed, or the FaceTime camera has been turned on. Or, in the specific event you described, the battery became fully charged or had attained some similar status.
Lacking any context, it is utterly devoid of meaning.
To that end it should be obvious that I am having some unusual activities on my computer and that's why I booted in single user mode.
It's not obvious, and it won't help. You really ought to describe the underlying problem you intend to address — presumably, those unusual activities. Describe them. Avoid The XY Problem.
The others have provided great advice. I would just like to suggest that if you can boot into macOS (either normally or into Safe Mode), then run the third party app EtreCheck and posting the complete report here so we can examine it for possible clues. It will also provide us with very important system details as well so we don't have to play the 20 questions game.
How to use the Add Text Feature When Posting an EtreCheck Report - Apple Community
Most issues are due to either third party software, or some sort of hardware issue. Seeing the EtreCheck report will help us figure things out.
To HWTech:
I apologize if the question I asked was not clear. You focused on "why" am I booting in single user mode. It's my understanding that booting in single user mode can eliminate certain confusion existing in your system or at least identify issues and put them in a place where they no longer interfere with the computers system. It's similar to running first aid in the disk utilities app., sort of like house cleaning. Please correct me if I'm wrong. To that end it should be obvious that I am having some unusual activities on my computer and that's why I booted in single user mode. Normally, when booting in single user mode, I get a list of files or directories that have been examined and cleaned. Most recently I got the message in the title of my query repeated over and over as if it was stuck in a loop. I don't understand the script or the language and you stated that many of the system log entries are not easily understood. That's why I posed the question. What does it mean? If you understand why I would get such a message rather than the usual script when running a scan in single user mode I would like to know. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. Now please tell me, can you answer it?
BobHarris, Thank you for the information. Your link for "Start up your Mac in safe mode" doesn't seem to work for me. I get a "Can't find server" prompt. I would like the information from this link, if you could check the link and send again that would be much appreciated.
HWTech, Thanks for the information and the link to EtreCheck. I will give it a try and re post with the results hopefully within a day or so.
