How to access the 2025 International Dance Day challenge on my Apple Watch?

Hey.

Did anyone get the international dance day challenge for April 29th 2025...I didn't, so I contacted Apple to ask why and was told that this particular challenge that was once free, has been merged into the fitness+ app, which is a monthly subscription. So to break it down to receive this badge you have to pay which I think is unfair and Apple needs to bring it back as just a normal challenge along with others that they have taken away.

Maybe the Global Close Your Rings Day award this month substituted the Dance Day Challenge.

However, if you use the Feedback link, you can tell Apple directly about your wishes for future fitness challenges.

This is the only way to reach them, as Apple does not follow theses user to user communities.

Not necessarily. Each of the past years, they’ve been experimenting with different new challenges while maintaining others. To my knowledge, only ring in the new year, national parks, and Veterans Day have been consistent.

I know people that truly use their Apple Watches enjoy these. I know enough about their systems for how they integrate these that I’d take a two week assignment at Apple HQ just to fix the system. I’d restore every previous badge, fix alert issues (awareness), and create an algorithm that caters to the parameters of the users experience/patterns to provide actual challenge, as well as give a break to those that don’t run 5 miles a day on the June challenge. I would only ask for: $2,500, a full tour of the campus, and being allowed to provide additional suggestions for improvements that I have seen countless ask for that would take very little time or energy; one final thing would be providing insight on what people are actually wanting done with the Fitness app/Watch in general (which would probably fall on deaf ears).
