Do you mean "older" number?
If so, Get the Number Changed:
Contact Apple Support:
Ask the Apple Rep to modify it over the phone. If permitted to do so, then inform to modify the assigned the correct eMail address to your Apple Account, to what it should be. Important: Perform a Trial & Error login session with the Apple Rep prior to ending the phone call.

Wait Out the Time Allotted:
Enter the passcode incorrectly too many times, and you'd likely be locked out for good. So, hold it right there, and wait out the time allotted. Refer to this link: If you Forgot the Passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is Disabled - Apple Support. The Passcode would be the one you've always entered. If you do not know it, then look for it in a location you may have stored it in.
