Final Cut Pro constantly hangs, on a brand new high end iMac ordered, with FCP pre-installed.

File Maker Pro constantly hangs and needs to be "Force Quit"-ed. So far it has happened 3 times this morning alone. Every time today has been when I have been working with Magnetic Mask. (Which might be irrelevant!) I ordered the iMac with all the upgrades, mainly for a better FCP experience which so far has not worked out at all. It came last month (March 2025) and I have had nothing but FCP "hangs." All 3 crashes today have been shortly after starting a new and different test projects. I have tried most things on forums, including removing all the settings file in the Library. Are there any ideas here before I reach out on YouTube? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Ok. I only use Chrome for the growing list of sites that do not work (or SOMETIMES don't work,) with Safari. I will go to my StarLink Dashboard right now, and if it fails (It most often does,) then I will attach a screen shot. Yes it failed. Side by side of Safari and Chrome with the same URL. But will follow your recondition and report back.

Normally I would suspect a problem with corrupt media but as you are making new projects this may not be the case OR are you using the same clips for each "new" project?

I assume you have also restarted your Mac in your attempts to troubleshoot.

Stop using Chrome and delete everything in that article.

Yes, I know Safari can be rubbish with certain websites but you can use Brave. I believe it is based on a similar foundation to Chrome but minus its nasty bits.

I use it whenever Safari is playing up.
