I'm using an iMac 2023 15.3.2 and suddenly after countless dragging and dropping files...(I've been on the computer all morning)...all of a sudden It wont let me drag and drop.
This is very frustrating and annoying.
Can anybody help?

Rebooting is the best first step in troubleshooting.
If a simple reboot of your Mac doesn’t fix things, see if the problem still happens in safe mode.

Does the same thing happen while in Safe mode?

I have relaunched finder and this seems to have worked for me.
However I will reboot in safe mode and carry out a disk repair etc. as per your advice.

This could be due to a temporary glitch. Try restarting your iMac first, as this often resolves such issues.
