How do I resolve iTunes freezing and Outlook sync issues on Windows 11?

My first question is about iTunes for Windows 11

I followed every steps more than once that were provided by ''turingtest2'' in order to reinstall an older version ''12.9.1.4'' of iTunes on my ASUS Flip installed with Windows 11 because the one that I used on Microsoft or Apple doesn't work !

So, I removed all iTunes files, I renamed my library.itl with an older backup and then when I started the older version of iTunes, it worked well even if after that I connect my phone BUT then if I try to access any button, the application does not respond. I then have to use ''TaskManager'' to shut it down.

CURIOUSLY, when I change my profile to ''Administrator'', no issues...access and synchronisation with my phone are OK !? except for my 2nd question.

When I try to merge my contacts and calendars with ''Outlook'' it doesn't work either.

Have I done something wrong ?

Please help me because Apple Support does not want to touch my Pc !!

Hey there,

For the first issue:

In Windows, launch the Settings app. On the left side of Settings, choose Apps and Select the Startup navigation option. To disable any startup apps that are now active, click the toggle switches next to them.

You can go there and disable ALL the startup items, then restart the computer.

When the computer comes back up not only should it run faster, the problem may be resolved. Open only iTunes, and try what you were attempting to do before. Do you still have the button issues and unresponsiveness?

If the above seems to have fixed the issue, then the problem is related to either another application running on Windows causing some interference, or you have too many startup items running at the same time fighting for limited system resources, hence the symptoms you are experiencing. If that's the case, ensure only the most critical (antivirus etc) of items are checked as enabled within your Windows startup items and that should help.

For your second issue, any error messages presented? The above test/advice may have resolved this issue for you too. Report back!

Cheers

On another matter....do you know if we can rearrange the ways we see our contacts in Outlook.

After my syncro the visual aspect is different.

They are now organized by last names but the ''M. or Mme''does not appear.

The way we see should be like this

''Hooper Holmes (Richard, Gérard)''

which is Society (Last Name, First name) for all of my contacts.

If you have clues about rearranging my contacts, let me know.
