Wishing to move audio without moving video on time line - using fcpro on iPad. At the moment I move the detached audio also moves the video. No keyboard with me, just pen.

Agree, it is a feature that would be great to have in FCP for iPad and a bit of surprise that detaching audio is not available.

The only workaround I've come up with so far is to duplicate the clip, mute the audio in the donor clip and then move the copy underneath whatever video I want to place the audio under - as the video from the copy will be masked by what is above it - kind of treating the copy as an audio clip even though it has video.

I don't have FCP on iPad, but it looks like the audio is expanded, not detached.
Okay could be you are correct. I’m hoping somebody else in the million people in this forum will turn around and tell me otherwise, at the present moment I’m in trial 30 day mode of fun pro audio scrubbing is bliss it makes sense. However I require to move audio around at will (as I can in iMovie LumaFusion) It’s like going driving in the car and say where’s the spare tyre. I didn’t bring one. I didn’t think we need it. It’s painful.
Hello Meg, that is a good idea for a work around. Yes i am surprise too. I do as you suggest and mention to feed back HQ. Spent over 2 days working it out with no joy, hence posts here.
