My Safari tab titles started disappearing a while ago, and I'd like to get them back. I don't remember whether I changed some setting absentmindedly or what.
Anyone know how to make tab titles show up -- the way Safari tabs used to?

Thanks for your reply, I-Am-Smart. Sorry, but I see no such arrow or anything labeled anything about "recently closed tabs," either literal or approximate. Also, Safari settings has no setting that would seem to control opening/closing tabs. Before posting my original question, I pored over Safari settings and windows.

I'm on Sequoia and Safari v18.4.
you can click the down looking arrow at the top right of the window or check recently closed tabs. You probably have a setting on that closed unused tabs. Check safari settings
Have you tried View>Always Show Tab Bar?
