My RAW files on (Internal, External ssd/hdd) is showing black on my mac when i preview them via spacebar after migration to my new MacBook! This is very annoying. Can someone help me figure out the issue? I have updated to the latest MacOS 15.4.1. JPEG files are previewing fine.

I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION! but it very annoying to do it all the time! When i drag one of the view corners to resize the quickview window. Make it around half the size of the initial window size. The image appears.
Solved with OS 15.5!
There is a known bug introduced with Sequoia 15.4 and certain RAW files. It should be fixed in the next update.
This morning, before I went to work, my raw photos viewed perfectly. I installed macos 15.4.1 while my client got ready for a photo shoot. And now my M1 Pro max won't preview my Nikon raw files, it's just black, yet in gallery view, you can see the thumbnails at the bottom, clear as day, but the main image is black
Why would you update the firmware if you know a bug causes problems with raw files? Now, at a guess, I would say 60-70% of professional photographers use a Mac, and 50-50% of hobbyists use a Mac. As I said, why **** people off by releasing a know bug. And how long do we have to wait for a bug fix
Thank you for your reply, but on my macbook air m1 the previous one it’s also running on 15.4.1 and the raw files preview are showing up upon preview with spacebar.
You're welcome. New as in an M3 MacBook Air? It's possible the M1 & M3 will have different results.
