B. Try the Following Tasks:

• Hold Down the Button on the case for about 15 seconds.

• Use an Apple Brand Cable - not a third party one - cool though it may look, a fabric, third-part cable would likely tear - (Apple cable's are plastic and are intended for Apple)

• Remove the AirPod from the Case, then place it back in the charger. Perhaps it need to resync with he charger.

Not showing a charging level indicator is really odd, I haven’t seen that before and I don’t know why it would be like that either. You haven’t painted over it like with your name, have you?

Anyways, in some other threads, you will find them easily if looking into google with your issue, there is a suggestion to try and plug them into your MacBooks USB outlet, of course using an original cable. If nothing works out, you can also just visit your nearest Apple Store, and make an appointment, I am sure the employees will be happy to assist you.
