Apple intelligence wants to use Facebook for call and can no longer make calls on the phone

As of this morning, my iPhone will no longer make phone calls using Siri. Instead, it wants to make them through Facebook, which I have never authorized never done and never want. I have now tried several times to ask it to make a phone call and it will tell me that I need to give messenger access to Siri. Why would it do this?Is this the best Apple can do? How do we fix this? Or do I need to just stop using my phone? I’m so confused by why I can’t make a phone call anymore.
