HomePod 2nd gen won't play certain Apple Music tracks if lossless audio is enabled

I am running a stereo pair of second gen Homepods running version 18.4.1 I am attempting to stream apple music directly on the homepods and I am not AirPlaying it from my iPhone. I have discovered that my Homepods will not play some tracks if I have Lossless Audio enabled in my Apple Music settings in the Home app. My internet and wifi set-up is plenty fast enough that it should stream lossless without hick-ups, and in fact it does from my phone. Nevertheless my homepods are often slow to start playing songs and some tracks they will not play at all. The best examples I have found for tracks that I cannot get them to play are all the tracks from discs 3 and 4 of the Black Sabbath live album Live Evil 40th Anniversary version. It's not a huge problem because I can just disable lossless and it will work, but this seems like a problem that shouldn't be happening. The songs will stream on my computer and iPhone. Anyone else encountering this with any songs where the HomePods won't play them if lossless is enabled?
