MacBook Air M2 with macOS 15.4.1 is not detecting external display

I have checked the monitor with another laptop and it works fine. but when I connect it too the Mac via USB C dongle it shows black screen. I was using the same setup for quite a while now.

The usb c dongle works fine when I connect a pendrive with it. so I guess the the c port does not. have nay issues

I have tried changing the dongle and the HDMI cable but the problem still persists.

I also updated the Mac to Sequoia 15.4.1 but the from still didn't get fixed.

I am using LG 22MP68VQ monitor. It's a 60 Hz display.

Can someone please give me a solution?

LG – LG 22MP68VQ-P (22) Full-HD IPS Monitor

This appears to be a 22" monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, 8-bit-per-channel color depth. The manual says that the recommended resolution is VESA 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz.

The advertising makes a big deal about AMD FreeSync – which apparently requires support from the graphics card. You might want to try turning AMD FreeSync OFF on the monitor to see if that makes a difference.

Also, when you say"USB-C dongle", what do you mean? A USB-C hub or dock?

If this is a USB-C hub or dock, does it rely on native hardware video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode) – or does it rely on some second-class "workaround" where you won't get any video output at all unless you install a special driver on your computer (and accept whatever compromises may come with this arrangement)?

USB C hub with all all kinds of ports like USB type A, HDMI, Type c etc. so I have been using this for past year or so and it works fine with this monitor. not now tough. Also I hooked my laptop to my Samsung TV using the same hub and it worked fine with the TV (Extended monitor mode)
