How do I disable the "updates available" nagging alerts?

I want to completely disable these nagging upgrade/update alerts. How do I do that? There has to be a way to shut these stupid things off so that they don't keep popping up. I update when I want to update. Besides, "Install Tonight" has never worked. I used to just keep clicking that option every time as a joke but now I am sick of it.

For the record, I already had Sequoia installed when it prompted me to upgrade to Sequoia so that seems like an issue as well.

Disabling Software Update Notification banner and badge can be done using an MDM profile that sets the CriticalAlertEnabled and NotificationsEnabled parameters to false.

You can install it by clicking the link below:

At this stage in the UpGrade Process and as presented in your image

The Upgrade software appears to have already been downloaded

It is awaiting the users' ( your ) decision as to When it will be installed

Install Tonight of Remind me Later

Depends upon you choice

Where upon, the nagging alert will disappear
