Links in RTF file not exported to PDF by Textedit

When I export an RTF file to PDF using Textedit 1.20 (Macbook Air running Sequoia 15.4.1) the hyperlinks in the RTF are lost in the PDF. This doesn't happen in earlier versions; export to PDF of the same files opened in Textedit 1.17 on my older Macbook Pro yields PDFs with functioning hyperlinks. What's going on?

It is an Apple TextEdit bug in macOS 15.4.1. I can also reproduce it, so you want to send direct bug feedback to the macOS product team, so they will know. No Apple badged employees participate here so the second sentence lets Apple know.

The workaround is to use the free Pages v14.4 from the Mac App Store which can open RTF/RTFD documents as translated Pages documents and there is a link editor there too. Then, Export To > PDF > [ Save…].
