Is there a simple way to change audio resolution on FCP export?

Is there a simple way to change the audio resolution when exporting a Final Cut Pro movie? It's easy enough to change the video resolution, but there doesn't seem to be an option to (for example) export a Project whose audio was recorded at 96kHz (and the project is set to the same resolution) but changing the audio to 48 or 44.1 kHz.

Is there any solution to compensate this lag in FCPx? izotope says on its website your DAW has to compensate for the latency, but I guess FCPx is not able to, right? Downsampling Problem Hi, I have a 2 track project which contains two 24-bit 96kHz short duration sound files (1 in each track), both tracks have basic effects on them such as reverb, reverse, etc. I would like an identical project, but downsampled to 24-bit 48kHz. Online info suggests that I should create a new 48kHz project (with "convert audio file sample rate when importing" selected), in order to downsample the 2 imported 96kHz audio files into the new project. The problem is - if I create the new project file set to 48kHz and then import the 96kHz sound files into it - it will downsample them fine, BUT then I will have to recreate all the edits (trims, effects, etc.) all over again. What is the best way to create an identical downsampled version, with having to manually remake the entire composition? I read somewhere online that I SHOULD NOT simply export / bounce the finished 96kHz project to a 48kHz audio file, as the quality will be affected, especially if effects are added. I'm not sure if the advice in the previous sentence is correct, so I am now perplexed as to how to create an identical, but lower res version of my file. Any help is appreciated - thank you.

Final cut pro x - how to export an mp4 video with 192kbps audio quaity I need to export a video file at 1920x720 in mp4 format and the audio line must be at 192kbps. when i try that on fcpx, using h.264 codec, it automatically uses AAC at 48kbps…the only way I found to get the setting I need was using one of Apple’s compression codec but then they are not compatible with browser nor windows machines (even if played on quicktime for windows). In my mac it plays perfectly but everywhere else it plays just the sound, video is black. Is there another way to set the file to be exported with the characteristics I need?

I think the audio is what is set in the project properties.

You can create a new project with the desired audio sample rate, select all, copy, paste into the new project and export that. Not very immediate, but a feasible workaround if you don't have Compressor.

You can simply change the project settings before you export.

If you select the project in the Event Browser, in the Info inspector, you can click the Modify button to change the (allowable) project settings. Audio Sample Rate options are:

Or make a custom preset in Compressor, use it to make a custom preset in FCP.

Send the project to Compressor. You can change everything there.
