If you are unable to use Safari to log in then exhaust all these suggestions: If Safari doesn't open a page or work as expected on Mac - Apple Support.
If you prefer Chrome and it works then use Brave:
No one needs Chrome.

Well, perhaps it was - but your original post is also lacking in useful details. For example - what do you mean that you "can't log on"? Do you mean:
"I cannot log on SSA.gov" isn't much to work with.

Thank you - I used Chrome when I couldn't get in. I used to use Safari exclusively, but I could not get my bank website to work on it so I switched and now prefer Firefox. I use Chrome as my back up.
I get it. However, if your primary concern is specifically being able to use the site in Firefox, as opposed to a general inability to use the site no matter what browser you try, you're in the wrong place.
You can find support for Firefox here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/
I can sign in just fine using Safari. Maybe you should try that.

So what happens when you think outside the box and use a different web browser to access SSA.gov website?
Well, wow, why didn't I think of that ...oh wait I DID! I HAVE been using Chrome, which I do not like, but that doesn't mean I do not still try to find out why the browser I use all the time and prefer will not do what it is supposed to - really? That was kinda rude, actually, it was very rude.

All politics aside, try clearing your cookies and caches: Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox - Firefox. What happens when you use Firefox on a different device?

Yes, politics aside for sure because I need to keep my stress levels down, respectufully, those were all of the things I have done to try to clear the issue. I may be older, but I am certified to work on computers and, while I do not know everything and don't claim to, I cannot resolve this issue with Firefox by standard means which were done way before reaching out and after researching to see if others were experiencing the same issue and found a resolution.

Correct - I can get in, just not with Firefox and wondered why and if anyone knew.
Yes, I guess that's the avenue I must take, although I tried to reach out already with no success in getting assistance from them, but thank you for being kind and trying.
