I have Security Camera from several manufacturers, but none work with HomeKit Secure Video.

When will HomeKit secure video support 2k or 4k video? I was hoping that the new Apple homekit upgrade would allow support for 2k video but alas…no. Anyone have any idea if and when Apple HomeKit secure video will support 2k video. I have Eufy 2k cameras that I bought specifically to use with HomeKit as I have a 2T iCloud plan— only to discover the video quality throttled at 1080. I reverted back to just using the Eufy native app as otherwise the video is heavily pixelated even when person at front door is relatively close. Sort of defeats the point of a security camera if I can’t ID the person. I can’t believe there isn’t more of an uproar on the forums and Apple hasn’t addressed this yet.

Blink cameras compatible with HomeKit? Some forums suggest Blink security cameras are compatible with HomeKit, but I haven’t been able to connect mine. Does anyone know how to do this? Or if it’s possible?

iPad Camera on Mac as Webcam Hello, I need my iPad Pro camera to be used as a webcam on my MacBook Pro. I would prefer to not install any new software onto either device, but I don't know if that is possible. Thank you!

"It doesn't MATTER much" is what I meant,

and the extra (") was unintentional, also. (“work with“ Apple Home Kit are...)

Of course an Homebridge can get quite pricey, since a piece of hardware is also necessary to facillitate this.

If anyone has accomplished this, please share.

I've been successful with the Logi Circle View. It works reliably and is easy to set up. I've also used the Eve Outdoor Cam with a built in spotlight. It's a bit more comprehensive to install, but it works very reliably for me.

Most importantly, you'll have to ensure to have good Wi-Fi near the camera install location. That's critical.

Your question is very broad. Suggest you narrow down the variables. For example, indoor vs outdoor surveillance, wired vs wireless, etc.

One example, Wyze outdoor Pancam 4.

It doesnt msttet much. Even some which “work with“ Apple Home Kit“ are unable to use many features.

Perhaps a Homebridge could create opportunities?
